Hi Try calibrating the ink cartridges, it is probably some minor problem, with the cartridge calibration, of course it might be a bad cartridge. In this case I would recommend, cleaning it up or change the cartridge. Locate the scanner glass and plate. The scanner glass is approximately 9.5 inches L x 0.5 inch W and it covers the scanner. The 'White' scanning plate is located above the scanner glass. Use a soft, lint free, cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol or household glass cleaner to clean the scanner glass surface and 'White' scanning plate.
